Calhoun, an eight-year-old hound dog mix, was the most recent foster guest at the luxury hotel, and Sydney Haykel met him during a recent stay. According to KJCT News, Haykel fell in love with the handsome hound after taking him for a walk and inviting him to hang out with her in her room.

Last week, the animal welfare agency alerted Facebook fans about Calhoun’s next adventure in a Facebook tease:

Arrangements were made for Calhoun to be transported to a halfway meeting spot in Tennessee. Haykel tells the news agency, “We just fell in love with him and happy to take him home.”

Calhoun has a new canine sibling named Goober. Though the hotel staff is sad to see him go, they are thrilled that he has found his forever home.
